Dried Flowers

in

I have been doing some work with dried flowers since August (which I alluded to in an earlier post), after receiving a gift of some from my cousin. There’s a theme for me in dried flowers, but I just haven’t been able to put my finger on it. I am now on a second iteration which started with a bouquet of flowers given to us by our daughter, cut with permission from the yard of her neighbour.

Over the period of several days the flowers began to dry out. Some began to droop, some shrivelled, more petals fell. But the bouquet retained a beauty, during a form of metamorphosis.
