I’ve noticed that many serious photographers prominently display boat pictures. Such seem to be table stakes for the committed cameraman. I’m not quite sure why this is; why would so many determined lensmen become a boat paparazzo?
But it came to pass that I felt unfulfilled; a gap in my portfolio leading to … boat-picture envy.
Over the weeks and months that passed since realizing the disparity, an irritant grew into what I felt could become a significant psychological disorder. Concerned about that eventuality I scoured my albums to find relief. Envy resolved. A tick-mark made.
