Lessons Begin

The golf season has begun and the lessons started yesterday.

Golf Institute at the Club at Bondhead

This is my 7th year–Linda’s 6th–playing golf.  It’s forced a number of changes in my life, such as creating a maintenance-free garden; buying cars that have a trunk that can hold two bags and two carts; having something to do when travelling on vacation other than visiting churches, museums, and historic sites.

We’ve been going to the same instructor since 2006, although this year we changed the frequency from twice to once a month.  Yesterday’s lesson: chipping and putting.  I’ve done these before, but it’s like performance testing: clear away one problem only to let the next batch become visible. Each new learning gets folded into an evolving context changed by other new learnings.

It’s a process.
