Firehall in Yorkville

I was in Yorkville, on the avenue with the same name, when I came across Toronto Station #312, built in 1878 [1].

This was taken as a single shot, hand held, but “triple processed” first with Nik Color Efex Pro,  then with Silver Efex and finally with Lightroom.  I processed the colours first with Color Efex to get them right.  I was once advised that the basis of a good black and white photograph (in the digital era) is one with good colours.  Next I processed with Silver Efex to convert to B&W and to strengthen the detail in the Firehall. The lightroom processing was to fade the background by lowing clarity and contrast so the Firehall stood out a bit more.
