Ingredients:
- 2 strips / pieces Pork Ribs (back or side)
- BBQ Sauce
- Rub
Steps (Instant Pot)
- Clean Ribs and cover in rub
- Add 250 ml (1 cup) apple juice or cold tap water or apple cider vinegar into Instant pot, and place a trivet into the pot
- Add ribs, close lid and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes; turn off heat with natural release for 10 minutes then open release
- Add BBQ sauce to rib and broil in oven until sauce is hard (10-15 mins)
Steps (Smoker):
- Clean ribs and cover in rub
- Cook in smoker for 3 hours at 90 C (200 F)
- Cover ribs in tin foil, and cook again in smoker at 90 C for 2 hours
- Remove tin foil from ribs, add BBQ Sauce, and cook in smoker for 1 hour
Note: I cook the ribs in my Kamado smoker / BBQ using lump-charcoal and the heat defector plates to avoid direct heat on the ribs.
