History

This site has been running since April 9, 1997. It started first as a webpage (1997), then a blog (2005) and then a “portal” (2012).  The focus of the site has evolved to become a record of travels and photography, peppered with occasional comments and observations.

Disclosures

As of December 1, 2009 in the United States the Federal Trade Commission requires that bloggers and other web authors clearly disclose “their connection, if any, with the advertisers; and also reveal the receipt of free products and or payments from the advertisers“.

I have none.  I have no relationship with advertisers; I receive no free products; I receive no payments; I receive no donations.  I pay for all costs associated with running this web site, the hertha.com hertha.ca and journey-to-the-east.ca domains, etc.
