Golf: How do you calculate your course handicap?

I was asked how one calculates their course handicap. To do this you need to know what your personal handicap index is. If you don’t know what your index is there are free calculators on the Internet.

The calculation is:

course handicap = personal handicap * (course slope/113)

Adding this number to the course rating will give you your expected score.
