A Day in the Life: Information; need it or not?

There’s a lot of critical information we need each day: warnings of impending brake failure or increased levels of carbon monoxide in your house. Add to that count-down timers on pedestrian signals. No doubt added for safety reasons. But how many times can you save the slowest antelope in the herd from its Darwinian fate. Can you secure all the breaches in the survival wall?
