Linda and I left Toronto Friday evening, and although the flight was about an hour late leaving, it was a pleasant experience nevertheless. The inflight service was excellent, as was the meal: a nice salad comprised of various leafy things topped with a gently-spiced sliced chicken breast followed with a nice milk chocolate truffle.
We arrived at my brothers lodge around midnight, making it a long day. The lodge is located high up in the Blue Mountains of north west Georgia, a stone’s throw from Tennessee. To give you a sense of how remote this area is, there is no cell phone reception at the lodge (you have to go up the road a little ways to get a signal) and there is no cable (which means internet access is via dial-up only). But, my RIM still works so I can complete my blog entries.
Certainly a good get-a-way place.
