When Yahoo purchased Flickr earlier last year [1] that left them with two photo hosting-sharing services. Yahoo’s original offering was far inferior to Flickr. I have a Flickr account, but the free service is limited to 200 photographs. I reached that limit some time ago.
My Internet Service Provide, Rogers, has some agreement with Yahoo whereby our monthly service fee includes Yahoo services. So, when earlier this year Yahoo announced it would drop its original service and migrate all it’s customers to Flickr my expectations were set.
Yesterday they were realized: Rogers announced that they would offer Flickr Pro as part of the monthly service fee and they would migrate all my photos stored on the original service.
This is great news: Hats off to Rogers!
