My Dad sent me a CD containing the attached picture of my Grandparent’s wedding. My great grandparents are seated in the front row, Max and Anna Hertha on the left, Gertrude and Heinrich Schellhorn on the right. My grandmother’s brothers are the young men in the second row. Walter is on the left, then Rudi and Otto. I don’t know the other people. 
As scanned the photograph was dark, so I processed it through Photoshop as follows:
- I applied the automatic smart fix. This lightened the picture, but left it with a lot of noticeable dust marks and scratches.
- I then referred to Scott Kelby’s book which described an approach to apply the Dust and Scratches filter
The results is a little brighter.
