This week I switched the Order of flowers I bought (from Rosales, that hosts Roses to Asterales that hosts Chrysanthemum). A nice change. As usual, I set the flowers on the kitchen table; there to be enjoyed by everyone.
At this time of year when the sun is out, it tracks very low across the sky, as it did today. When this happens the sunshine streams in through the windows at a pretty low–almost horizontal–angle, offering some interesting lighting effects. 
In many respects Chrysanthemum are a surrealistic flower, in some ways looking like a Sea Anemone, completely alien and so fragile.
