I recall a conversation bewteen two friends one proposing that with digital post-processing it is possible to elevate the mundain photograph into the sublime. While such arguments lead to questions of taste and what is goodness, the advent of digital photography has manifest a wide range of post-processing tools and plug-ins, which I suspect in part play on that theory.
I was reading an article that looked at one of these tools. While the author recommend trying the 30-day free trial, he cautioned that it would not be enough to fully appreciate the depth of the tool. It struck me then that the number of perumtations of effects was extremely large, may be nearing infinity. Then I relaized that while I may not be able to make the most sublime photograph with this tool, all I need to do is take one photograph and apply the near-infinit combination of adjustments to create all my future renditions. No need to go out into the wild anymore and shoot pictures.
