The route of the Atlantic Salmon extends across much of the North Atlantic.
Given that broader context I was amazed and surprised to see salmon in the East Don River.

There weren’t thousands or hundreds; may be 10 in the short time I watched. Which is quite something. I presume they travel from the Atlantic up the St. Lawrence into Lake Ontario and then up the Don River to the East Don. Of all the hundreds of rivers and destinations along the way, to see them here was amazing. Some were quite big, close to a meter.
