My iPhone 4s has left the factory.  Stated delivery date is October 19th.

Last I read, which is a few days ago, Apple had received over one million orders.  Regardless of the exact number I’m trying to visualize the line up of UPS drivers and trucks at the factory picking up iPhone boxes for delviery. OK, may be that’s not the way it happens, yet over the next few weeks there are going to be a lot of 0.4 kg packages travelling around the world.

Update: October 13 6:32 PM: iPhone in Alaska

Update: October 14 4:30 AM: iPhone in Louisville, Kentucky

Update: October 15 5:02 AM: iPhone in Concord Ontario

My iPhone is less than 20km from home, yet I fear these last 20kms will take the most time to cross.  It is the weekend and according to the web site the delivery time posted is before noon Ocotber 17th. Sadly, the UPS facility is closed on the weekend so there is no chance to pick it up.

Update: October 17 3:30 PM: iPhone delviered

It took longer to get from China to Concord than it did from Concord to home.
