Meishan itself is a small town. The major attraction here is the Giant Buddha which we saw yesterday. Today we drive to Mt Emei. Both of these are considered UNESCO World Heritage sites.
We walk around the area of the hotel however it was quite warm. Our hotel is adjacent to a monastery or more precisely the Buddhist equivalent. There we sought refuge from the heat in the shadows of the temples.
