This morning we journeyed out to Lamma Island. The island is a 30 minutes or so ferry ride from Hong Kong.
It is a rural setting, largely parkland and a couple of small fishing villages. It is popular with “ex pats” because of its setting yet a reasonable commute to the city. The mode of transportation on the island is largely by foot or bicycle. The few motorized vehicles I saw were golfcart-sized trucks used to transport things.
We walked across the island in less than a couple of hours stopping along the way for drink. We ate lunch and returned to Hong Kong.
The photograph above is of Hong Kong harbour on our return. The shot was taken through the window of the ferry which was covered in water droplets. This gives the picture its dreamy effect.
