Pensacola

We spent much of the day on the beaches of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. At the westend of the island is Fort Pickens built before the U.S. Civil War. 

The beaches within the park were devoid of people and appeared to be in a fairly natural state. This is good time of year to go.  The weather is cool, few insects, few tourists.
