Places Our GPS Took Us #1

Our GPS has built within it some sort of algorithm it uses to determine the “best” route.  Granted, there are user options that influence the choices it makes, but regardless it does make what appear to be odd choices.  These can be frustrating, however, if taken in stride, they can result in visiting places one might not have otherwise considered.  So with that context in mind, there were occasions where the GPS directed us to turn off the main route.  Having both the time and a belief in serendipity we dutifully followed the advice.

On this occasion we were directed to turn off the main route which was the Ring of Kerry onto a little laneway.  The posted speed was 80 km/h, but the width and turns of the lane precluded me from going more than 40 km/h.  As well I was very cautious about meeting on-coming cars.  There were just one or two, however.  The route took us through farmland, where we came across a beautiful white horse.
