This is a redo of a photograph I made earlier. Comparing the two offers a sense of the difference light makes.
To restate what I said before, this ashtray was from my grandfather; he enjoyed a big cigar. In the 1960s it was still ok to smoke; fine restaurants often employ cigarette girls, who would carry a tray of cigars and cigarettes for sale to the patrons. Our attitudes towards smoking has changed completely and it left me thinking about all the other seemingly little changes that have had a big impact on the way we look at things.
