    Killarney Channel runs between the mainland and George Island providing safe harbour for the Village.  This is the channel-side view of Herbert’s Fishery, home of Herbert’s Fish and Chips.

    The Eastern entrance into the Killarney Channel is marked by a lighthouse, now fully automated.  With GPS prevalent in most boats of any size it’s hard to see the need, at least for reasons of navigation.
