Campfire on Tom Thompson Lake

Recently we completed a three-day Moose Safari, camping two nights on Tom Thompson Lake, which is located one portage off Canoe Lake, in Algonquin Park, Ontario. This is the campfire we made the first evening.

A campfire in the remote woods symbolizes a deep connection to nature. It represents a return to simpler times, where fire was essential for survival and comfort. The flickering flames of a campfire create a meditative atmosphere, encouraging reflection and contemplation. As a powerful experience in the serene and remote setting of The Park, they allow one to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with their inner thoughts.
