Our visit to Ireland was split across two periods. The first was October 6-11th and the second was October 26-29th. During the first part, we rented a car and drove from Dublin to Killarney, and then up the west coast and back to Dublin with several stops in between. The second part of our visit was spent almost entirely in Dublin.
This was our first trip to Poland. We left Toronto Friday June 4th and returned Monday June 29th. We flew to Warsaw, where we spent the night before continuing by train to Krakow. We stayed a week in Krakow and then returned to Warsaw on the 14th. In Warsaw we joined a team of 12 people (including ourselves) on a Habitat for Humanity Build Project.
We started our tour January 18th, 2015 and returned home February 24th 2015. This was a driving trip; we drove 9,299kms. Broadly our tour took us to Louisiana and then along the Gulf Coast through Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and across to St. Augustine, then up the East Coast of Georgia and North Carolina and to North West Georgia and back home.
Our trip was between September 16th and October 4th. We departed on the evening of September 16th and arrived the following day in Budapest. Our tour took us from Budapest, by train, to Prague, then Salzburg, Strasbourg, Verdun, Bruges and Cologne. On October 4th we drove to Frankfurt for our return flight.
On January 18th we flew down to Georgia to visit my brother and his wife in McCaysville.
North of Blueridge and south of Ducktown, McCaysville is the gateway to the Cherokee National Forest and cultural hub of North West Georgia; a destination offering high culinary arts, quintessential representations of period architecture and of course the Gateway.
November 3rd - 17th 2012: We left Toronto November 3rd and returned on the 17th. Our original plan had us leaving on the 2nd but damaged passports prevented us from boarding. In a mad dash we were able to get new passports and leave the following day. On this trip our first week was doing volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity.
