The new air conditioner was installed today. We have been without one for the last month or so. I actually have got quite used to life without it, but I sensed rebellion in the air if the defunct unit was not replaced.
The new one is noticeably larger, possibly twice the size, but it has a much higher efficiency rating and is surprisingly quiet. We chose a Carrier unit as we already have a Carrier heating and control system.
But it’s always important to check what’s behind, and what I found was, well odd to say the least. The coloured cables might have aroused some interest, but they could be explained away as something to do with the fact that this is a high efficiency machine. But it was the plastic bag that sealed the fate. Something is amiss!
