Confessions

Not to compete with Saint Augustine (ISBN 0-14-044114-X) author of the same title, I work for a bank.  In these days of economic melt-down, which some might attribute largely to the financial industry (banks included), this confession is arguably a bold thing to bring out of the closet.  And while Canadian banks have for the most part weather the storm quite well, I was struck by today’s image. A bare wall at the bank that once hosted fine Canadian art. A sign of the times?

May be someone should turn out the light.
