Digital Photography Review has published a Photokina 2008 Show Report.
The Photokina ‘World of Imaging’ Trade Show is held every two years at the Cologne Exhibition Center, Germany. This year will mark the thirtieth Photokina, the first of which was held between 6th and 14th May 1950. Over the years Photokina has been the place manufacturers have announced some of their most significant new products.
The last show, held in 2006, attracted 162,492 visitors (65% of whom were trade) and had no less than 1,579 exhibitors. This year the show will take place between the 23rd and 28th September (10 AM to 6 PM).
The site includes both predictions/hopes and product announcements. Nothing yet from Leica.
