Our departure from Toronto was uneventful albeit a bit fracturous (or as least recorded by my iPhone).
After arriving in London, we drove down to Hastings to see the Battle field. According to the tour guide, the city itself was worth a pass. We took the self-guided audio tour of the Battle site. We visited the spot where it is said Harold was killed; there lies a plaque. This is one of those places where history changed.
The Saxons were situated where the buildings are currently located; this shot take from Norman possitions down the hill.
After Hastings we drove along the cost through Plymouth, Southampton and then up to Winchester.
