Metamorphosis

In a recent episode of the Cranky Geeks the metamorphosis underway within the newspaper industry as it transitions from paper to electronic distribution was inferred to be a sojourn through death.  Presumably with only some survivors.  

And then came PhotoCard. Another metamorphosis this time for the Post Card business?  

This iPhone application enables one to create Post Cards with an iPhone and send them via e-mail or have them physically printed and mailed.  Michael Reichmann provides a more detailed summary and review.  

I travel a fair amount, and generally find local post cards interesting to the extent that they identify potential locations for taking some photographs.  I rarely buy any.  The challenge at this point is the quality of the iPhone Camera.  But in a trade off for personalization, may be technical quality will loose out.
