I was looking at the UK Labour Party’s recent election campaign advertisement:
Its messages are surprisingly similar to those of Canada’s Conservative Party:
- Nothing seems to work (it’s broken) / replace decline with national renewal
- Unaffordable housing / debt
- Crime / take back our streets
- To serve working people
- Economic stability
Yet there are two important differences:
- Tone: it is positive, not cynical
- Priorities: country first, party second
