As is so often the case, one thing leads to another. May be that’s just another way of saying everything is connected. In any case, for the last few years I have nurtured an interest in food and culture, so when this commission was proposed I jumped at the offer. Interestingly, it has influenced the scoping of my current project, Basement Archeology, where I decided to narrow the focus along a food theme as a means of reining in what would otherwise become and incomprehensible mess.
