This morning the usually crystal clear announcements of our subway system were shrouded on a woo-kok-like crust of static. Later when I turned on my wireless-streaming audio device I found that all the pre-set stations had been zapped to some random set. And finally the spinning leaders microphone produced more grinding static than was tolerable. Some sort of message, me thinks.
Time to pay homage to Harry Thunderer or the Cosmic Muffin [1].
