In a survey published by Reuters Many Americans See Little Point To Web:

A little under one-third of U.S. households have no Internet access and do not plan to get it, with most of the holdouts seeing little use for it in their lives

Wikipedia reports [1]:

Ninety-nine percent of American households have at least one television and the majority of households have more than one.

Seems like misplaced priorities. This one third of Americans comes up quite often:
