Get-away Weekend: B&Bs

in

On our trip we stayed in Bed & Breakfast lodgings along the way. This one photographed below in Erin was typical: a 19th Century home, upgraded to offer lodgings. All were very nice. All shared something in common: knick-knacks.

I can only presume that in an effort to capture the sense of the time of the building various design steps were taken. These include period furniture, wallpaper, even washroom hardware. But while these varied to some degree the deployment of knick-knacks was consistent, and lots of them, strewn all over the place and on every flat surface.

My reaction: Lots of stuff to dust and lots of stuff to move when you want to get at the underlying furniture.
