Waterloo Weekend

We drove down to Waterloo this weekend to visit friends and play golf.

Golf was at Grey Silo. A beautiful course.

After our game we went to the Olde Heidelberg. Such a great place! The decor is pre-modern/primitive. There aren’t many places like this one and those that were are long gone. I hope it never changes.


The menu has been the same since we’ve been going there, nearly 25 years: schnitzel, pig tails, pork ribs and pork hock. They come with mashed potatoes or French fries, vegetables or sour kraut, and cold slaw. Linda had the pig tails, I had the pork ribs and we brought home a pork hock.
