Sudbury – Killarney Excursion

in

The  forecast accurately predicted good weather for Friday and Saturday last week so north we went to Sudbury and Killarney.  We will be going to Killarney in May; this was a pre-trip to get a lay of the land.  We stayed in Sudbury as this time of year not much is open outside the “major” centres.

Our first stop on Friday was in Killarney Provincial Park at the entrance to the Chikanishing River road.  The Road was closed so we walked in to the boat launch (access point) located on the river.

From there we carried on to the village of Killarney and visited the lighthouse. From there we drove to Sudbury.

The following day, Saturday, we spent at Laurentian Conservation Area, a pearl located on the souther edge of the city.
