Monticello

From our mountain resort in Massanutten we drove the one or so hours to visit Thomas Jefferson’s home in Charlottesville, named Monticello.  During our visit there we took an organized tour of the building.  The tour was quite extensive and included all 3 floors of the house.  Our guide offered insights into life in the house during Jefferson’s time.  Apparently Jefferson had a rather idealised view of events in contrast to the other family members’ more pragmatic point of view.
