Gaspé

Gaspé was the fist of our two primary stops. The main attraction, for us, was Forillon National Park, and its hiking trails.

Having a plan to stay seven days gave us enough time to see the sites, hike the trails and settle into the local environment. The hotel had a little dinning area, primarily for breakfast, which was equipped with a toaster oven and microwave. That allowed us to buy and prepare our own food, rather than eat out every night.

While it did rain several days, we were able to get out and hike. The longest hike was to Cap Gaspé in Forillon Park. There were several others, including: La Taïga trail along the coast, Peninsula Fort, the Cap-Bon-Ami Trail, the Sentier du banc trail looking out onto the Cap-des-Rosiers Lighthouse.
