Even though we are in another time zone–one hour earlier–I woke at the usual time.
There were 2 Celsius Degrees lingering in the air when I took a walk through downtown Moncton this morning. Past are the days of the 30C+ temperatures we experienced just a short while ago in Ottawa. The change was inferred as we entered New Brunswick; the leaves on the trees appeared new, possibly just a week or so old. Some trees were just beginning to bud. It will be even cooler in Newfoundland.
Enroute we stopped in Antigonish for a late lunch and then proceeded to North Sydney Harbour. We arrived around 5PM and checked in. The ship will load at about 9PM and depart at 11:45. Arrival in Port aux Basques will be 6 – 8 hours later.
We will be on the MV Blue Puttees. It has 96 cabins; we will be using two of them.
